ABOUT NEHEMIAH FOR ERITREA
We draw our name from the Book of Nehemiah, where Nehemiah felt compelled to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. While residing safely in the "Citadel of Susa" Nehemiah learned that the remnants in Jerusalem were in "great distress and reproach." Nehemiah for Eritrea is a group of Christian men and women united by a vision to restore the body of Christ in Eritrea. Our mission is to glorify God and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ by supporting and assisting the persecuted and dispersed church in Eritrea. As followers of Jesus, we are dedicated to voice for the voiceless and addressing the physical and spiritual needs of those persecuted for their faith.
We operate as a non-profit organization, guided by an active Board of Officers, which includes a chairman, a treasurer, a secretary, and several additional members

To build a generation of God-fearing Eritreans, through creating a conducive atmosphere for preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, by supporting and advocating on behalf of the victimized and the needy.
OUR MISSION
To lift up the Lord Jesus Christ in Eritrea, as well as around the globe by meeting the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of the persecuted, thereby, vividly demonstrating the love of Christ.

WHO WE ARE
Nehemiah for Eritrea is a dedicated community of men and women who are united by a shared vision and mission. Drawing inspiration from the biblical story of Nehemiah, who felt compelled to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, this community aims to restore and support the Church and it's mission in Eritrea.
In the Bible, Nehemiah was safely residing in the "Citadel of Susa" when he learned that the remnants in Jerusalem were experiencing "great distress and reproach." This news deeply moved Nehemiah, prompting him to take action to rebuild and restore the city. Similarly, members of Nehemiah for Eritrea are profoundly affected by the challenges faced by their fellow believers in Eritrea.
Eritrea, known for its restrictive environment towards religious practices, presents numerous hardships for the community of Faith. Nehemiah for Eritrea acknowledges these difficulties and feels a strong sense of responsibility to provide support and relief to those in need. Their mission is to stand in solidarity with the persecuted, offering spiritual, emotional, and practical assistance.
